Did you know that phone numbers are portable and that you can keep your current number?
Most customers* can switch from their current phone service provider to Blueface without changing their phone number. So if you have a memorable number that you'd like to keep or if you don't want to notify relatives, friends and other contacts of a new phone number, porting is for you.
Porting is also great for business customers, it lets you keep the number your clients and customers are familiar with. You won't have to go to the expense of printing new stationery and business cards just because you changed your telephone provider.
*Customers with wireless or cable broadband or those who have a second phone line have the opportunity to keep their current phone number and stop paying line rental. Remember if you are reliant on your telephone supplier for your broadband connection or for your alarm system you cannot port your number to Blueface. Most geographic numbers from fixed line Irish service providers are suitable for porting however Blueface cannot guarantee that your number will be successfully ported.
Before you Start an Application
You must have a Blueface subscription call plan to port your number.Pay As You Go call plan holders cannot port their number to Blueface. You should consult your previous telecoms provider to ensure that porting the number will not affect any secondary services such as broadband or alarm services. You should ensure that the Blueface service is working as intended in your premises and that you are happy with the levels of call quality provided. For this purpose, we recommend that you try the Blueface service for at least one month before arranging porting of your number. Before proceeding with a number port please make sure you have a copy of the front page of your most recent phone bill ready to include with your port. Online applicants will be asked to attach a scanned copy of their bill. If you do not have access to a scanner you may fax or post a copy to Blueface. Please remember your port cannot be processed without this and your application will be put on hold until this has been received by Blueface's porting department. To fill the form you can either download it, print it and send it back to us or do it on our website. In which case you need to login (button below), go to "My Accounts" and you will see the form link at the top. Please note that there is a service charge of €10 for all number ports. The port will not be processed until this charge has been paid in full.
