Computer
- Click on start menu on the taskbar of your computer.
- Click on control panel.
- Click on network connections.
- Right click on the: local area network
- Click on properties.

Scroll down to Internet protocol TCP/IP, select it.
- Click on properties.

Click on Obtain and IP address automatically.

Click on Obtain DNS automatically.

Click OK to save the settings.

Click OK again to save the TCP/IP settings.
- Restart your computer.
Adaptor (ATA)
- Log on to the ATA (through your web browser on the computer).
- Enter username and password of our ATA.
- The main page will be displayed. Make sure these settings are keyed in (Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Static IP address, Primary and Secondary DNS) and the setting is down to Static IP address; instead of obtain an IP address automatically.
- If the details are not keyed in check the documentation your ISP sent you when you first got your broadband, these networking details will be mentioned there. If you can't find them, you'll need to ring your ISP to obtain them. Input the details (Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary and Secondary DNS and Static IP).
- Apply the settings.
- Close the web browser.
- Switch off the ATA and the broadband modem for 30 seconds, switch them back on and leave them for 5 minutes.
If you are with Clearwire Broadband, make sure to ring them and ask them to activate VOIP on your account.
