Unpack your Netgear Router/ATA. We have pre-configured the device for you. There is a legend on the underside of each Netgear device.
Plug in the blue cable provided from the LAN/ Ethernet port at the back of your computer to the Ethernet port on the Netgear (labelled B in Fig.1 above). There is usually only one port of the correct size on the back of a computer. Please refer to the legend on the bottom of the device. DO NOT connect the computer directly to the broadband modem - it has to be through the Netgear, or you will not be able to view the internet.
Next, plug out the internet/ WAN cable from your modem, and plug into the Internet port on the Netgear (labelled A in Fig.1). This is the port on the farthest right. Please refer to the legend on the bottom on the box. The internet cable should run from your modem to the Internet port on the Netgear.
Plug the Netgear into a power socket, using the plug provided.
Now plug your telephone into the Line 1 port (labelled C in Fig.1 above). If you would like to activate Line 2, please contact support@blueface.ie
When everything is connected (Fig. 2) switch off the Netgear and broadband modem (unplug the power). Leave them switched off for 30 seconds then switch them back on and leave them for 5 to 7 minutes. This makes sure the settings are re-booted.
At this point you should see all the lights (LEDs) on the Netgear glow green. To test your new phone system dial 303# (free talking clock) to check if you can hear the time.
Do not reset the router. This will delete the settings required for the service to work.
