X-Lite 3.0 Softphone
XLite configuration

Xlite is a FREE softphone, which allows you to make phone calls directly from your computer. It's compatible with Blueface. If you don't have it installed on your computer, you can download it there : Xlite download.

Once it is installed, follow our guide to get started. If you experience any issues, contact us at support@blueface.ie or post in our forum (you need to register 1st) : Blueface forum.

  1. Click on the little downward triangle (1st button on the top) to display the menu and click on "SIP Account Settings" as shown below.

  2. The screen below will be displayed. Click on "Add" to enter your details.

  3. You are now into the interface handling your account. You need to enter your Blueface's details here:
    • Display name : Enter your name (ex: John Smith)
    • User name : Your Blueface Username
    • Password : Your Blueface Password
    • Authorization name : Leave blank
    • Domain : Enter sip.blueface.ie as shown below
      Domain proxy : "Register with domain and receive incoming calls" should be ticked. Select "Proxy" and enter : sip.blueface.ie

  4. Your phone is now ready to use. Your Blueface Username should be displayed on the screen.

    Make sure that you do not have the same SIP account registered on two devices as it could cause sound quality problems. To add another SIP account use The ToolBox: you will be able to add a 2nd SIP account to use with the Xlite.

The following step is only for users with a firewall who are experiencing issues with the audio.

  1. If you encounter difficulties getting the sound both ways. It is more than likely due to a firewall. The first point to try is to add a STUN server setting, as follows, then press "Apply" and test again:
