Make sure that you do not have other softphone installed on your computer. If you have then remove your details from it first and then uninstall it from the add/remove programs under control panel. Restart your computer/laptop. Mac users just delete the program from the Applications folder.

Make sure that you do not have the same SIP account registered on two devices as it could cause sound quality problems. To add another SIP account use The ToolBox: you will be able to add a 2nd SIP account to use with the Xlite.

  1. Click on the MENU option, as highlighted above. This option is on the right of the text "Clear".

    XLite2 configuration
  2. Click on System Settings.

    XLite configuration
  3. Click on SIP Proxy

    X-Lite SIP Softphone
  4. Click on Default
  5. Click on SIP Proxy

    X-Lite
  6. Now you will see a screen in front of you:

    XLite SIP
  7. Fill in the details as shown below:
    • Enabled: Yes
    • Display Name: Your Blueface Username (its case sensitive, so make sure you enter it as in your Welcome email).
    • Username: Your Blueface Username (its case sensitive, so make sure you enter it as in your Welcome email).
    • Authorization User: (leave this field blank).
    • Password: Your Blueface Password (its case sensitive, so make sure you enter it as in your Welcome email).
    • Domian/Realm: BlueFace (B and F are in capitals only, rest of them are all lowercase. It is all one word with no gaps).

    • Use Outbound Proxy: Never (to change this setting, double click on it)
    • Send Internal IP: Default (to change this setting, double click on it).
    • Register: Always (to change this setting, double click on it).

DO NOT change anything or any other setting below it.

  8. Now keep pressing the Back button located at the bottom left of the screen till you can't go back anymore. Then click on the mark "X" on the top right hand to close the window. Now you should see the screen, which says Logged In (as in the picture at the top of the page).
  9. Dial 303 and you should hear out talking clock, if you do, then you are up and running. Now dial your Blueface number or extension number from your non Blueface landline or mobile to check for incoming calls, then dial out your mobile number from the xlite to check for outgoing calls, once they both are successful, then you are ready to make and recieve calls.

Need help? If you cannot get this to work try searching the Blueface Forum or email support@blueface.ie
