You will find the Connection ports at the back of the Linksys WRP400:

Here's how to get started:

  1. Power off your broadband modem. Unpack your Linksys WRP400 Router/ATA. Connect an ethernet cable from the internet port on the WRP400 to the ethernet port on the broadband modem.
  2. Connect an ethernet cable from the ethernet port on the WRP400 to the ethernet port of your computer. Disable wireless on your computer for the time being and shut down the computer.
  3. Plug your telephone into the Phone-1 port of the WRP400.
  4. witch on the broadband modem first and then switch on the WRP400, Do not switch on the computer right now. Wait for 3 mins or so and let the green lights at the front LED of the WRP400 settle down. Generally there should be 3 green lights - on the front LED panel you will see the name - power, internet, wireless. Wireless LED green light might not come on at that time.
  5. Now switch on your computer and wait till it starts completely. You will see the ethernet light coming on the WRP400, which will be green in colour, it means that the WRP400 has successfully established the connection with the computer. Slwoly now you might see few more green lights, like power, internet, wireless, ethernet and phone-1.
  6. Open your web browser, whichever you use (Internet explorer, Opera or Firefox).
  7. At the Address bar on the very top in the browser (where you write any website address), enter 192.168.15.1 and hit enter.
  8. A box will appear in the front, requesting for username ans password. Leave the username field as it is and do not enter anything. In the password field, enter : admin (all lowercase and all one word) and hit enter.
  9. Linksys WRP400 window page will open. Click on Voice (you will find this option on the right hand side at the end of the top screen along the tabs).
  10. Now click on admin login just under voice, the page will turn into more detailed version.
  11. Click on Line 1 and it will open a page in front of you.
  12. Scroll down slowly till you reach to Proxy and Registeration. You will see this header written on the left hand side in white on a black background.
  13. Enter the following details : Proxy : (first delete from there whatever is written), then type sip.blueface.ie
  14. Around 2 options below it, you will see the option - register. Change that to yes. Then below it, you will see an option - Register Expires, remove 3600 from there and enter 113.
  15. Now just below the Proxy and Registeration that you just entered details in, you will find another header option on the left hand side - Subscriber information written in white on a black background. Scroll to this one.
  16. Enter the following details :
    • Display name : (Your Blueface username)
    • User ID : (Your Blueface username)
    • Password : (Your Blueface Password)
    • User Auth ID : No
    Leave the rest as it is, and do not fill anything else anywhere. You can find your Blueface username and Blueface password on the welcome email that you would have recieved on your registered email address on your Blueface account when you signed up with us.
  17. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Settings. The page will reboot and it will show a message that the device will now reboot and will return to the page in 30 seconds, leave it as it is. DO NOT PRESS "HERE" in the message to bypass the page. Let the device reboot and return back to the main page by itself. You will be returned to the Info page on the WRP400 after the reboot. On the Left hand side, with the white writing you will find Line-1 written on the black background. Make sure that the Hook State under this heading is ON and the Registeration state says Registered. Once this entire process is done and you have got the correct messages as stated on the above line, then you are all set to make and recieve calls.
  18. Dial 303 from the phone attached to the WRP400 and you should hear a talking clock, it means that the device is registered. Now dial your mobile number from your Blueface phone and it should ring and display the correct caller ID. After this successful call, dial your Blueface number from your mobile phone or another non-Blueface landline and you should hear your Blueface phone ring. Once this is successful, then you are all set.
    Note: If you do not have wireless capability in your computer/laptop, then leave the setup as it is, but if you have wireless capability in your computer/laptop, and wish to use it, then proceed to the nest step.
  19. Enable wireless on your computer/laptop and unplug the ethernet cable running between the WRP400 and the computer. Search for the available wireless networks and choose Linksys6176 (this is the default name for your Linksys WRP400 for wireless range). Once this is selected, then you are all good with internet too and it will then connect wirelessly.

Note:You DO NOT need to use the CD that comes with the Linksys WRP400 package. It is a setup wizard CD and it does not need to be run or installed.
