Web Developer
Blueface is seeking a Web Developer with 2+ years of experience and an interest in evolving to non-web development in the medium / long term. The web developer will be involved in the full software development lifecycle - including requirement gathering, design, software development through to deployment and post-release support. We are looking for someone willing to grow along our innovative and expending company. The role will evolve based on the candidate’s motivation to learn and to get involved in other technical fields.
The web developer will be a key member of the Blueface technology team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
Desired Languages / Skills

Required web development skills : PHP, JavaScript/Ajax/JQuery, SQL, XHTML

Experience with web servers Nginx and IIS.

Additional software development skills (not mandatory but appreciated) : Java, C#, Ruby, Erlang

Familiarity with Linux is required. Being at ease on Windows server is a plus.

Knowledge / awareness of the security aspect of web sites.

Knowledge / awareness of the main web standards and on-page optimisation.
Role Specific Requirements

BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related areas.

Self-motivated and willing to learn.

Takes accountability for technical issues that may have been escalated and ensures they are resolved.

2+ year’s experience in web development.

Good networking knowledge is preferred.

Have the ability to dig into business requirements, have a pro-active attitude, sense of ownership and precise analytical skills.

Be able to work under pressure and against tight deadlines

Can work closely with business stakeholder’s to figure out requirements and translate them to technical solutions.
