Blueface is a high growth, innovative and dynamic IP telephony services company which is headquartered in Ireland with operations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Italy.  With landline and mobile operations, Blueface has leveraged its customised IP platform to deliver products and services to businesses, SME’s and Professional Consumers.

Blueface was originally established in 2005 and has perfected its IP technology platform which has been deployed successfully in over 12 countries worldwide. Blueface’s vision is to become the leading provider of converged IP telephony services to SME’s across Europe.

  • Launched Mobile Service (MVNO) in March 2012 in conjunction the H3G Ireland (part of the Hutchinson Whampoa Group).
  • Formed Partnership with Carphone Warehouse Plc in May 2012 to market and distribute services

Our Leadership Team

Blueface’s management team has formulated ambitious plans to develop the business over the next 5 years.  The approach of the company is fundamentally different to the traditional telecoms providers; Blueface has built a reputation for flexibility, efficiency and innovation.   Our management team, along with our wider team, has a unique blend of skills and talent to bring the Blueface proposition to customers across new territories in Europe.

 

Alan Foy - Chief Executive

Alan is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of Blueface.  He works closely with the management team on a day-to-day basis to execute Blueface’s growth strategy and lead our expansion into new markets. Alan was previously an executive with NCB Group on the wealth management side of the business and worked with Coyle Hamilton (now Willis) in the area of business transformation.   Alan is President of the Trinity Business Alumni, the network of Trinity College graduates in Business and is a member of the Ireland Funds Young Leaders committee.

Alan holds a Bachelor in Business Studies, a Master of Arts and Master of Letters from University of Dublin, Trinity College.

 

Feargal Brady - Co-Founder & Director

Feargal is co-founder of Blueface and former CEO of the company. He is a visionary technologist with a strong commercial focus and product development / roadmap planning experience. Feargal has assisted in developing Blueface as a highly innovative and customer focused business. He is charged with leading customer engagement, specifically with technical input into solution deployment.  Feargal champions the development of new innovative products and value added services for customers as part of Blueface’s growth strategy.

Feargal is an Engineering Graduate from University of Dublin, Trinity College and holds an MBA from H.E.C. Paris.

 

Nameer Kazzaz - Chief Technology Officer

Nameer Kazzaz is one of the leading IP telephony experts in Europe, with a special interest in open source technology and its application to both traditional and the emerging Cloud Telephony. Educated in Iraq and England, Nameer holds multiple qualifications in computer science, electronics and engineering. Since 1998, Nameer has been pioneering the application of IP Telephony in the private and public sectors. He was responsible for the introduction of one of the first mobile VoIP networks, has deployed some of the largest soft-switch environments in the world, and is a regular contributor to global conferences on the subject of IP telephony, Security, Enum, Next Generation Networks, IMS and Voice in general. Together with the Blueface engineering team, Nameer is responsible for delivering the technology behind Blueface’s vision of 21st century telephony.

 

Fiona Kearns - Director

Fiona leads and develops the operations of Blueface and her team actively serves a sizeable and growing customer base. Fiona manages the Consumer and Residential Group and helps builds the value proposition for the consumer and home/residential segments. Fiona is the customer champion in Blueface and she consistently designs and builds new ways of bringing cost effective, innovative telecoms solutions to customers.

Fiona is a former CEO and Operations Manager of the business and is a graduate of NUI Galway and Dublin Business School.

 

 

Brendan Gaffney - Director

Brendan manages and leads the Business Group. Supported by a strong team of account managers and technical professionals, Brendan has a strong focus on delivering a quality service to business customers in Ireland and the UK. He is an active promoter of the Business Group’s mission to provide SME’s with excellent telecoms (landline and mobile) features and value- added services at a significantly lower cost. Brendan has an entrepreneurial track record in services businesses including The Real Dirtbusters.

Brendan holds a Bachelor in Business Studies and Master of Arts from University of Dublin, Trinity College.
 

 

 

Luca Caralvi - CEO Blueface Italy

Luca Caralvi is CEO of Blueface Italy and a co-founder of Kebu (acquired by Blueface) where he managed the company since 2005. Prior to this Luca worked in Hewlett Packard in Italy as part of the HP executive consulting programme, and with Alcatel in France where he headed up the marketing strategy area. Separately, he was Secretary General of the International Youth Voluntary Service (sponsored by UNESCO) where he volunteered for 10 years.

Luca is an Economics graduate of the University of Naples Frederic II, and holds a Masters from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris. He speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
